Sport for All, Play for Life: A Sports & Society Roundtable The inaugural roundtable of the Aspen Institute's Sports and Society program will launch an important dialogue about the sports activity of children, with focus on addressing the barriers to widespread athletic participation. The event takes place at the Aspen Institute, Washington, D.C., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

How to Win at Sports, With burnout and overuse injuries on the rise, how do parents protect their athletes' emotional and physical health and allow sports to achieve their valiant goal of building confidence, self-esteem and success? The event sponsors are the Darien Library and the YWCA Parent Awareness Network. Remarks and a book signing starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Middlesex Middle School Auditorium, Darien, CT.
